Alessio Bartolacelli: Professor of Business Law and European Company Law
at the Department of Law, University of Macerata, Italy, where he also holds
the Jean Monnet Chair “Business Law in the European Union and Sustain-
able Economy”. He was visiting fellow in Universities and Research Institu-
tions in Germany, Switzerland, Portugal, and Latvia. His main research in-
terests are in Company Law, with a special focus on SMEs. He has published
several works on company- and enterprise-related topics, mainly in Italian,
English, and Portuguese. He is a member of the Editorial Staff of the Journals
Giurisprudenza Commerciale, Orizzonti del Diritto Commerciale, and Głos
Prawa – Allerhand Law Review.
Giovanni Di Cosimo: Professor of Constitutional Law at the University of
Macerata. His main research interests include forms of government, funda-
mental freedoms and regionalism. He has published extensively about consti-
tutional law. Most recently: “La parabola dei diritti. Vent’anni di tensioni cre-
scenti sul fronte della tutela dei diritti umani” (Torino, 2020); “Chi comanda
in Italia. Governo e Parlamento negli ultimi venti anni” (Milano, 2014); with
A. Pugiotto e S. Sicardi, “La libertà di coscienza” (Napoli, 2015).
Elisabetta Fusar Poli: Professor of Legal History at the Law Department of
including studies on Cultural Heritage and art in the legal framework, as well
as relating to the relationship between innovation and law, in the Italian and
European context of the modern and contemporary age.
Francesco Gambino: Professor of Private and Civil Law at the University of
Macerata. He wrote three monographs, several papers and contributions on
civil law, comparative law, sociology and general theory of law, some of which
in English, French, Spanish, Portuguese and Chinese. Member of the Italian
Association of Civil Law Scholars; member of the Association Henri Capitant
des amis de la culture juridique française; member of the Union of Private
Law Lawyers; member of the ISLL - Italian Society for Law and Literature.
Maria Pia Guerra: Professor of Law at the University of Brasília, Brazil. She
obtained her PhD from the University of Brasília. She has been a visiting re-
