1. INTRODUCTION
Today slaves are victims of the poignant inequalities in income and
land distribution in this country, even if there is a national policy to fi ght
the contemporary slave labor, it is possible to observe the resistance to
the legislative evolution, which would culminate in the modifi cation of
the art. 243 in the constitutional text, aiming to give better e ectivity to
prevent and repress the slavery practice that is perversely perpetuated
in the country. Thus, beyond the indignation, a certain acceptability
is perceived from a part of the society and its representatives, which
by bibliographical and documental review, under the aegis of critical
analysis of speech, results in the following research questionŚ in which
measure the fundaments of contemporary slave labor were emptied in
conceptual or practical value in the struggle to eradication, from the
promulgation of Constitutional Amendment No. 81/2014?
Slavery persists in global scale in the form of indecent relations of
labor, founded in the economical exploitation. Uncountable modes of
coercion characterize the labor relations in the market formed by global
and local enterprises and their chain of suppliers, harming workers in
their dignity, abusing their human rights.
