Resumen: tradicionalmente la mujer escritora se ha visto reprimida en varios
frentes: desde el acceso a la educación, y por tanto la posibilidad de leer y escribir, a
la dificultad de contar con tiempo para escribir en lugar de desarrollar labores do-
mésticas� Además, están los obstáculos para publicar, la baja remuneración, las crí-
ticas sesgadas e incluso la ocultación y olvido deliberado por parte de la historiogra-
fía literaria�
Sin embargo, a pesar de estas dificultades siempre ha habido mujeres escritoras
que por un medio u otro han logrado hacerse un espacio y desarrollar su voz�
El surgimiento del mundo digital supone la apertura de un nuevo espacio de co-
municación y desarrollo lingüístico� La información es más accesible y numerosa, se
facilita la publicación y la formación de comunidades de intereses� Además, el escena-
rio digital no se limita a las formas tradicionales de literatura, sino que incluye también
periodismo, opinión, divulgación científica, etc� Todos los géneros tienen cabida�
En este contexto, la presencia de la mujer escritora en el mundo digital conlleva
dos aspectos importantes�
En primer lugar, la autoría: nunca ha sido más fácil romper la correspondencia
entre el autor real y el avatar que firma del texto como en el espacio digital� El autor
digital es el resultado de la creación deliberada y consciente de un personaje� La

mujer escritora digital puede por tanto adoptar diversas formas que oculten o decla-
ren su identidad, obteniendo respuestas distintas en función de la forma elegida�
En segundo lugar, hay que destacar el efecto de la voz femenina en sociedad� El
mundo digital supone que las mujeres escritoras son más numerosas y con mayor
capacidad de hacerse oír� Esto conlleva un cambio en el escenario social por la apor-
tación de nuevas perspectivas y realidades que hasta entonces apenas tenían repre-
sentación en el imaginario colectivo�

Abstract: Traditionally women writers have found themselves repressed on
multiple fronts� From being barred access to education and thus learning to read and
write, to the difficulty of being able to devote time to writing instead of household
activities� There are also the obstacles in getting published, low remuneration, biased
criticism and even deliberate concealment by literary historiography�
Nevertheless, there had always been women writers who despite the difficulties
have managed to make a space for themselves and develop their voice�
The emergence of the digital world means the birth of a new space for
communication and linguistic development� Information is more accessible and
numerous, publication is easier as well as the creation of communities of shared
interests� The digital space isn’t limited to the traditional literature forms since it also
includes journalism, opinion, scientific outreach and dissemination, etc� There is room
for every genre�
In this context, the presence of the woman writer in the digital world brings to
light two aspects�
In the first place, authorship� It has never been easier as it is in the digital space
to break the link between the real author and the avatar that signs the text� The digital
author is the result of the deliberate and conscious creation of a character� Women
writers in the digital space can adopt multiple forms that show or conceal their
identity, receiving different answers depending on which form they choose to identify
themselves with�
In the second place, there is the effects of a female voice in society� The digital
world entails higher numbers of women writers who also have a greater ability to
make themselves heard� This means a change in the social stage thanks to the input
of new perspectives and realities that until now were barely represented in the public
worldview�
